How to apply for a seminar
During the winter term 2019/20, we do not offer a seminar
The winter seminars are launched in October. A preliminary list of topics will be published in September (here, or in e-learning, if available). The deadline for paper submission is before Christmas, and the presentations will take place in January.
Please send in your application no later than September 15th.
The summer seminars are launched in April. A preliminary list of topics will be published in March (here, or in e-learning, if available). Papers are due in June, and the presentations will be held in June.
Please do send in your application no later than March 13th.
Follow this procedure:
If you want to take part in a seminar, please send an Email (click here for the address) in which you provide the following information:
- Family name.
- Given name.
- Cell phone (maybe we want to setup a WhatsApp List for this seminar - if you have objections, please let us know when applying).
- Email address.
- The seminar (winter/summer term) that you want to take part in.
- Your study program.
- A current transcript of your grades at the OvGU.
Please add (preferably in the body of your email and not as an attached file! If you attach a file, make sure that it bears a sensible filename, like "myname_grades.pdf". It is impossible to keep track of all the attachments that are cleverly named "cv.doc") a short statement describing your motivation why you want to participate in this seminar.
We can only accept a limited number of students to our seminar. Note that we do not confirm your participation before the end of the semester break. Students admitted to a seminar will receive a key that is required to register in the seminar's page (in e-learning) where you are provided with up-to-date information on the seminar.
